Pupil Premium & Catch up
The Pupil Premium is additional school funding paid by means of a specific grant based on school census figures for pupils registered as eligible for Free School Meals, Ever 6 (children who have been in receipt of FSM within the last 6 years), Looked After Children / Adopted Children, Children whose parents are currently in the Armed Forces.
The Pupil Premium funding will be used by Wolgarston to address any underlying inequalities between children eligible by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most.
The attachment below outlines the school's use of pupil premium which includes:
- A summary of key challenges to achievements faced by eligible students at Wolgarston
- How we intend to spend the pupil premium funding to overcome these barriers
- How we intend to measure the impact of our strategy
- The impact of last year's spending of pupil premium
We formally review the school's pupil premium strategy annually following external results and post the report by the end of October each year. At key points throughout the yearly; we assess progress against our targets and adjust accordingly.
