Mental Health
Every pupil at Wolgarston high School has a form tutor, this is the first point of contact for any wellbeing concerns. Pupils also have a Head of House who can help support with signposting and advice regarding Mental Health.
We also employ a Wellbeing Mentor and a School Counsellor, the case load for the Wellbeing Officer is managed by the school Inclusion Manager. The Wellbeing Mentor uses evidenced based interventions to support pupils in school with managing their own wellbeing, this focuses primarily on helping pupils develop strategies to develop resilience so they can take positive steps to support their own wellbeing.
There are a number of services that can support families with Children’s mental health.
